You Want Larry English to Pay $14,000 for Whaaaaaaat?
The thought that I had as I read this story about rookie linebacker Larry English
being stuck with what was almost a $15,000 dinner bill (Which was a distant third to how can anyone spend that much on a meal and make it public in this economy, as well as what was is an admin. charge?) was there had better been a shark with lasers fighting a lion with wings and horns. Sound outrageous!!! Well yeah. But shouldn't you get outrageous for a bill well over $14,000. Shouldn't there at least be some kind of special extravagance like what was mentioned earlier. I would expect nothing else for what amounts to a shear waste of money that could and really should be used in another way. I'm not in any way saying that people can and shouldn't do whatever they want with their money. Or that NFL players (along with other athletes) owe the public any sympathy because they make lots of money. But this does show the apparent disconnect that professional athletes/entertainers have with those who love watching them perform. Especially with the NFL having to waive its blackout rule.
On a side note, I've never had service that was worth a $2,000 tip.
